1st's continue winning ways

On Sat 31st the 1st XI travelled to Michelmersh and Timsbury II and were made to work hard for their win. Batting first they scored 274 for 8 with captain Tom Dennis leading the way with 74.In reply M and T got within 15 runs thanks to a quick fire 50 in the middle order but Langford continued to take wickets at the right times thanks to Phil Tompkins 2-23 and Luke Stevens 2-35. Sat 7th Aug saw Wilton as the visitors. Langford scoring 264 for 4 with what must be a club record opening stand of 218 between Stuart Partridge 118 and Nick Mundy 68. Wilton were skittled for 109 by Luke Stevens who took 6 for 41 including a hatrick(Another tie to buy!)
