Fun, food and the Fovant Fly

The club's annual presentation night has been and gone just like the season it seems. The club again was the setting for the awards night, a superb hog roast was provided, Pete Dennis was on speech patrol, plugging any company he could with Andy Bennett, which meant they did not last as long as an Andy Foyle speech, although we did miss doing the sweepstake this year. There were mulitple winners for both the 1st and 2nd team, with Luke Stephens proving maybe he is an all rounder.... and Darren Harvey taking a clean sweep in the 2nd Team. Other awards in the night saw Matt Pieterse being rewarded with the 2nd team player of the year..much deserved and a great first season for Matt, Joe McNeilly getting the Sunday Team award and Nick Partridge the Tuesday Night perfomance award. Other mentions as always were to Sarah Partridge for the club person award, along with Sandy and John and all others who help continue to help run this club, without them we wouldnt be here!!

Award of the night however goes to Mr Jonty Rhodes himself, Adam McNeilly for the hole in the hand award. Adam showed this year just have good a fileder he has become and how all the coaching down the years has helped, especially when he blamed a fly at Fovant for not being able to catch or just literally stop a ball, obviously he brought the fly with him to most games this year!!

A big thank you to everyone that could make the presentation night on Saturday - I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did (apart from Sunday morning). We are lucky to have a brilliant club with great facilities and great members!!! A couple of important dates for you to be aware of:
This weekend (26th & 27th September) is end of season groundforce to sort everything out for the winter. Please make the effort to turn up, even if it's just for a couple of hours.
Wednesday 3rd December - club AGM where there will be very important areas of the club to discuss so we need as many people as possible there. I will be sending out an email/message in the next few days to give you a heads up as to where the club is at the moment and areas we need to address.

Thanks again guys and roll on next season's bash
