U15's away to Marlbrough Mon 30th May.

Manager Howard Smith reported - The Under 15 team travelled to Marlborough following their encouraging start to the season and on winning the toss has no hesitation in asking the hosts to bat under grey skies and in fresh conditions.  James Nuttall made the breakthrough in the first over and with Marlborough looking to attack over ambitiously they were soon in trouble at 31 for 4 off ten overs. James Nuttall ended up with 3-13 off 5 assisted by George Fry 1-17 off 5.

Debutant George Edwards continued the good work taking 3 for 25 off 5 helped by an athletic catch from Sean Bailey and despite resistance from Charlie Bontoft 27 not out   Marlborough closed on 123 including 36 extras.

Sean Bailey and George Edwards opened for Langford but a communication mix up off a no ball resulted in Bailey being run out with the score on 7 which soon became 15 for 2 as Kinnison chipped one back to the bowler. George Edwards and Finigan Young then enjoyed a partnership of 95  with Edwards scoring an impressive 57 with an array of well timed shots ably supported by Young who grew in confidence and was undefeated on 38 as the total was reached with Nuttall 6 not out in just over 22 overs.

An impressive team performance before next weeks match at Home to Warnborough.
