Pre Season Update

Cricket Force has been and gone and we are now leading into our final weekend of friendlies before the season begins, weather permitting of course. We had some good support and managed to complete some important jobs over the cricket force weekend, Si Ford managed to pretty much paint himself, Andy Bennett surely does not remember much of the day and of course Andy Foyle was made famous promoting the club on Wiltshire FM, have a listen in dropbox if you missed it, the weather threatened to ruin it but we did finish some well needed jobs such as the sight screens and the net bay as well as getting to work on the square, please continue to support the club in the leading weeks before the season kicks off if you can, any help is always appreciated.

To the cricket, we have managed 2 games so far, both of last weekend's games were rained off and the week before only one game was played against Redlynch. Redlynch posted a commanding 290 off their 40 overs, with old and new players taking wickets, Tom Bennett and new/old comer Alan Stafford taking a couple of wickets too, it was a useful run out for the lads and we only came about 30 runs short in the end with notable contributions from Adam McNeilly and Nick Partridge both passing 50. In the only other game we have managed we lost in a tight game against Andover.

This weekend sees the 1st team heading to South Newton and Calmore visiting the 2s, so it gives everyone a last chance to get some game time in before the season starts on 10th May, hope to see you all at the weekend, if it does not rain of course!!
